Full-Time Grade 6 to 8 Homeroom Teachers

The MAH is accepting applications for the Full-time Grade 6 to 8 Homeroom Teachers position for the
2025-2026 academic year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education with OCT certification
- Experience teaching in an elementary school.
- A criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months) is required before commencement of employment.
Successful applicants must demonstrate:

- Knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum
- Proven experience in programming for students of all abilities, interests, and learning styles.
- Ability to skillfully manage and engage students in a classroom setting.
- Ability to effectively document student learning (reporting and recording) and use assessments and evaluations to guide instruction.
- Ongoing commitment to student success
- Professional and respectful attitude with parents, colleagues, and administration
- Organization and time-management skills
- Ability to function collaboratively as a member of a team or committee
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, and administration
- Conflict resolution skills
- Strong commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the ISH
- Proficient in the English language (oral and written)
